The discount chain Aldi wants to bring an orange wine to the shops for the first time in Great Britain on Saturday, 11 August. It has been produced by the British-Romanian winery Cramele Recaș, whose wines sell very well on the island and which has been working with Aldi there for some time.

The "Orange Natural Wine" of the 2017 vintage at a retail price of 5.99 pounds (6.69 euros) consists of 85 percent Chardonnay and 15 percent Sauvignon Blanc. According to the estate, it contains neither sulphur nor components of animal origin. It is therefore also suitable for vegans. Further details about the production of the wine have not been revealed.
