German wines won over 100 medals and two trophies at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) held in London this year.

At the IWSC 2018 34 medals went to German wines - 12 bronze medals, 20 silver medals and two gold medals. Gold was won by Weingut Reverchon (Mosel) with Herrenberg Riesling Spätlese fruity 2015 and Weingut Horst Sauer (Franconia) with Escherndorfer Lump Riesling Eiswein 2016.

Two German wines were awarded a trophy at IWC 2018 with a Trophy: Weingut Leitz (Rheingau) with the German White Trophy for 2016 "One-Two-Dry" Rheingau Riesling Trocken and Weingut Reiss (Franconia) with the German Sweet Riesling Trophy for 2016 Riesling Randersackerer Pfülben Beerenauslese. In total, the German participants achieved eleven gold medals, 39 silver medals, 24 bronze medals and 13 recommendations.
