Which wine do you use for spritzer?
Simple wines are usually used for spritzers, i.e. litre or doubler quality. Since mineral water is added to it, the choice of wine is primarily an economic question. In principle, however, the better the wine, the better the spritzer!
Whether you choose a dry, semi-dry or sweet wine is purely a matter of taste. However, it should have enough fruit, because the spritzer should not only taste like water. Therefore, the wine should be matured in stainless steel tanks rather than in wooden barrels, as it is then generally fruitier and fresher.
Recommended grape varieties for white winespritzer or wine splash are e.g. Riesling, Grüner Veltlinerpinot Gris, Silvaner or a white cuvée as well as Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Portugieser, Sankt Laurent, Merlot or a red cuvée for redwine spritzer.
